Policy 21.10.40 Expenses for Attendance at Appeal Hearings: Effective October 1, 2019 the kilometre rate decreased from $0.40 to $0.37.

Policy 21.30.10 Authority for Execution of Documents: The policy was updated to reflect the name change from the Policy, Planning, Governance and Service Committee to the Governance Committee.

Policy 31.05.05 Rate-Setting Model for Class E Employers: Policy is amended to mirror a change made to an identical reference in policy 31.05.

Policy 31.05.10 Cost Relief/Cost Transfer - Class E: Under Appendix A, the term "Claim Costs Account" was revised to provide an express reference to policy 44.20.50.20, Noise-Induced Hearing Loss. Policy 44.20.50.20 allocates noise-induced hearing loss claim costs among employers. The 2020 threshold amount for recalculating current year and prior years' assessment rates was added into Appendix B of the policy.

Policy 31.05.15 Cost Transfer - Self Insured: Under Appendix A, the term "Claim Costs Account" was revised to provide an expressed reference to policy 44.20.50.20, Noise-Induced Hearing Loss. Policy 44.20.50.20 allocates noise-induced hearing loss claim costs among employers.

Policy 35.10.50, Status of Workers, Independent Contractors and Employers: The minimum wage was previously set out in a regulation under The Employment Standards Code. Effective October 1, 2017, the minimum wage is determined under sections 7 and 8 of the Code.

Policy 35.10.120 Terms and Conditions of Optional and Personal Coverage: The 2020 minimum and maximum coverage amounts were added into Appendices A and B of this policy.

Policy 42.10.10 Elective Surgical Procedures: The policy was revised to clarify the WCB's process for approving elective surgical procedures. 

The title of policy 44.10.30.60 was updated from Practices Delaying a Worker's Recovery to Co-operation and Mitigation in Recovery.

Policy 42.20.10 Clinical Examinations: The policy was updated to reflect current position title of Director from Sector Director. The phrase "common-law partner" was added to the definition of family member under section C of the policy.

Policy 43.10.50 Rehabilitation for Spouses or Common-Law Partners: The 2020 maximum annual net employment income level was added into Appendix A of this policy.

Policy 43.20.25 Return to Work with the Accident Employer: The title of policy 44.10.30.60 was updated from Practices Delaying a Worker's Recovery to Co-operation and Mitigation in Recovery.

Policy 43.20.40 Relocation: The title of policy 44.10.30.60 was updated from Practices Delaying a Worker's Recovery to Co-operation and Mitigation in RecoveryReimbursement of Relocations Costs (Attachment B) was adjusted effective October 1, 2019.

Policy 44.05 Arising Out of and In the Course of Employment: A paragraph in the policy was revised to parallel wording changes in policy 44.10.70.50, Public Interest Emergency Actions, previously approved by the Board of Directors. 

References to two repealed policies were removed (44.10.20.20, Ganglia, and 44.10.40.10, Insect Bites) and a reference to policy 22.00, Decision Making, was added.

Policy 44.60.20.01 Date of Retirement: The policy was revised to clarify its application and effective dates.

Policy 44.100.20 Annuities: The 2020 threshold levels for converting a lump sum payment into an annuity and eligibility for independent financial advice were added into Table A of this policy.
