Administrative Guidelines created for the policy to provide additional guidance to staff and inform stakeholders on key components of the policy.

    Policy approved by Board Order 16/23 on April 19, 2023 (replaces repealed policy 22.30.10, Agency Agreements with CFIO Employers) to outline the obligations and responsibilities of those who act as agents of the WCB under section 109.5 of The Workers Compensation Act.

  • 22.30.10, Agency Agreements with CFIO Employers:

     Policy rescinded by Board Order 16/23 on April 19, 2023 effective April 30, 2023 and replaced by 22.30, Agents of the WCB effective May 1, 2023. The repealed policy was removed from the WCB Policy Manual and archived.

Policy amended by Board Order 15/23 on April 19, 2023 to clarify the process for calculating and paying excess amounts, particularly when the WCB exercises its discretion under the policy.

Policy amended by Board Order 27/22 on September 29, 2022 effective for all claims with accident dates on or after May 1, 2023. Policy amended to clarify the definition of "traumatic event".
