Release Date
(WINNIPEG) – In preparation for a possible Canada Post work stoppage, the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) is making wage loss, pension, and medical aid cheques available for pick-up starting on Monday, June 27. All other non-essential correspondence will be held at the WCB until the labour dispute is resolved. 
 
• Injured workers in Winnipeg, Brandon and Thompson can pick up their cheques at the following WCB offices:
 
o Winnipeg: WCB main office, 333 Broadway, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 
o Brandon: Brandon regional office, Renaissance Station Building, Unit 1, 457 - 9th Street, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 
o Thompson: Thompson regional office, New Town Square, #4-90 Thompson Drive, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 
• Injured workers in rural Manitoba can pick up their cheques at one of the government offices listed below. A list of communities served by each government office is posted on our website. Pick-up hours for these offices are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
 
Workers must bring two pieces of identification with them, one of which must be photo ID, and a claim number to pick up a cheque. If a worker is unable to pick up their cheque, they should call their WCB claim worker to make alternate arrangements.
 
 

Employers, healthcare providers

Employers can pay their premiums in a number of ways. For details, visit www.wcb.mb.ca/paying-your-premium or contact Assessment Accounts at 204-954-4505 or 1-855-954-4321, ext. 4505.
 
For healthcare providers, cheques will be available for pick-up at the Workers Compensation Board’s main office at 333 Broadway.

Direct Deposit

To avoid having to pick up cheques in person, we encourage injured workers and healthcare providers to set up Direct Deposit. To do so, or for any questions about the WCB's contingency measures, visit our website or call 204-954-4321 or 1-855-954-4321.
