Postal disruption information

Date posted: 2025-05-07

A postal disruption may occur as early as May 22, 2025, impacting how the WCB conducts portions of its business. To avoid any WCB mail being caught in transit due to a postal service disruption, mail is being held as of May 15, 2025. Courier services will be available for urgent correspondence, such as Review Office mail.

To stay up to date with your payments and forms, familiarize yourself with the information below and visit back often for updates.

Healthcare professionals

Physio and athletic therapists should sign up for the eHealth Portal to submit reports, invoices and treatment requests electronically.

Healthcare professionals may also sign up for direct deposit by completing the Healthcare Direct Deposit Form and emailing it to directdeposit@wcb.mb.ca.

Employer premiums and payroll

Regular penalties and interest are still in effect. To pay your premium by your scheduled due date and avoid penalties, set up online payments. Learn more at paying your premium.

If you are expecting reimbursement from the WCB for wages paid to an employee during a claim or for other reasons, you can sign up for direct deposit by completing the Employer direct deposit form and emailing it to directdeposit@wcb.mb.ca.

Worker claims and payments

Workers will not receive cheques by mail until the postal disruption has been resolved. To set up direct deposit, receive claim updates or report an injury, download the mobile WCB Worker Connect app from the App Store or Google Play.

You can also sign up for direct deposit by completing the Worker direct deposit form and emailing it to directdeposit@wcb.mb.ca.

Once you sign up for direct deposit, any cheques that have been printed but not mailed will be destroyed and deposited directly instead.

Cheque pick-up service

Injured workers and healthcare providers who are not signed up for direct deposit may pick up their cheques at the locations listed below. For your security, you will need to provide photo identification or two pieces of non-photo identification with your current address. You also need to provide your WCB claim number.

You may authorize an alternate to pick up cheques on your behalf. The person picking up the cheque must provide a note signed by the worker that they are authorized to do so and state their WCB claim number. The designated person is required to provide their photo identification.

The WCB is currently working with the province to establish pick-up locations for rural customers. If your mailing address is not in Winnipeg, Brandon or Thompson, the cheque will be held until it can be couriered to the provincial pickup site. Sign up for direct deposit to receive your payment on time.
