HousekeepingA workplace with good housekeeping increases worker morale and prevents injuries and illnesses.Good housekeeping is an important element of a safety and health program for reducing hazards in the workplace. Housekeeping also keeps the work area clean and free from clutter that can contribute to workplace incidents.Employers must ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare of all workers and others in the workplace.The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) recommends establishing a workplace housekeeping program.
