The WCB Worker Connect App privacy noticeThe information collected through the WCB Worker Connect App is collected under the authority of sections 36(1) of The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 13(1) of The Personal Health Information Act and The Workers Compensation Act.I understand that under The Workers Compensation Act the WCB can collect information about me to adjudicate and manage my claim or perform other statutory duties or activities of the WCB and that this may include collecting personal health information from my physician and other health care providers, as authorized by legislation, including The Workers Compensation Act, The Personal Health Information Act and The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. I authorize persons in possession of medical and other information that the WCB determines relevant to this claim to disclose same to the WCB upon request.I understand that information from my claim may be disclosed to my employer or employer representative or to others when required to adjudicate and manage my claim and as authorized by legislation, including The Workers Compensation Act, The Personal Health Information Act and The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.I understand that some of the information collected may be used to conduct surveys for the purpose of evaluating WCB programs and gauging customer experience.I understand that my email address may be used to authenticate my identity or as a communication channel to share relevant information about the WCB or my claim. I further understand that communication using unencrypted (unsecured) e-mail instead of secured e-mail may allow third parties to intercept and read my confidential, personal and/or personal health information and the WCB cannot protect any information sent via unsecured e-mail.I understand that my first and last name and e-mail address may be stored in the U.S. to enable two-factor authentication technology.Income Information from Canada Revenue AgencyTo assist in determining benefits you may be entitled to, the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba may request income tax information. This includes copies of your complete income tax return(s) and other taxpayer information including all supporting information slips and financial statements from the Canada Revenue Agency.
