The Canadian Union of Postal Workers announced that rotating strikes may take place as early as Monday. However, the WCB's service delivery as it pertains to cheques and premium payments will remain status quo until further notice.
We continue to monitor the situation and have contingency plans in place to ensure that we minimize disruption to all of our stakeholders and maintain our service levels in the event of a mail stoppage.
We invite you to check this page regularly for up-to-date strike information and contingency plans, or call our inquiry line at 204-954-4321 (toll-free 1-855-954-4321).
For more information, please refer to the Q and A.
In an effort to reduce the possible impact of a mail stoppage, we encourage injured workers and healthcare practitioners to enroll for Direct Deposit as soon as possible. To request direct deposit, please complete the Worker Direct Deposit Form or Healthcare Direct Deposit Form and fax it to the WCB at 204-954-4999 (toll-free 1-877-872-3804).
Premium payments will still be due at the end of the billing month. Employers can pay their premiums in a number of ways as an alternative to sending payment via Canada Post. Many of our customers have chosen the convenience of online payments or pre-authorized transactions. For details on all payment options, see Paying Your Premium or contact our Assessment Services Department at 204-954-4505 or toll free 1-855-954-4321, ext 4505.
