  • Expenses for attendance at appeal hearings #21.10.40: Effective October 1, 2022, the kilometre rate decreased from $0.52 to $0.51. Meal allowances were increased effective July 1, 2022. Minor grammar changes were also made to the policy and administrative guidelines.
  • Cost relief/cost transfer - Class E employers #31.05.10: The 2023 threshold amount for recalculating current year and prior years’ assessment rates was added into Appendix B of this policy.
  • Terms and conditions of optional coverage #35.10.120: The 2023 minimum and maximum coverage amounts were added into Appendix A of this policy.
  • Role of healthcare management services #42.10: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).
  • Elective Surgical Procedures #42.10.10: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).
  • Out-of-Province Referrals for Clinical Examinations #42.20.20: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).
  • Independent medical examinations #42.20.20.10: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).
  • Neuroaugmentative Devices #42.20.40: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18). Minor formatting changes were also made to the policy.
  • Rehabilitation for spouses or common-law partners of deceased workers #43.10.50: The 2023 maximum annual net employment income level was added into Appendix A of this policy.
  • Relocation #43.20.40: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).
  • Recurring effects of injuries and illness (recurrences) #44.10.20.60: The 2023 maximum and policy cap levels were added into Appendix A of this policy.
  • Establishing post-accident earning capacity #44.80.30.10: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18). The policy was also revised to reflect minor formatting and gender-neutral language.
  • Annuities #44.100.20: The 2023 threshold levels for converting a lump sum payment into an annuity and eligibility for independent financial advice were added into Table A of this policy.
  • Medical aid #44.120.10: The policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).
  • Support for daily living #44.120.30: The 2023 clothing and footwear allowances were added to section C of the Administrative Guidelines. The policy was also updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).
  • JPAC Terms of Reference #-: The terms of reference were updated to reflect the name changes from Chairperson and Co-Chairperson to Chair and Co-Chair.
