Updated to reflect the enactment of the Accessible Information and Communication Standard Regulation.

Policy 21.10.10 Requests for Consideration Under Section 60.9:

Revised to reflect changes in organizational structure, minor formatting and gender-neutral language. The reference section was updated to refer to Workers Compensation Board By-Law No. 1. As well, consequential changes were made to the policy arising from amendments to the Act.

Policy 21.10.40, Expenses for Attendance at Appeal Hearings:

Amended to reflect an increase in travel allowance for attendance at Appeal Hearings effective April 1, 2022.

Policy 21.30.10, Authority for Execution of Documents:

Policy was revised to reflect minor formatting changes and gender-neutral language.

Policy 21.30.20, Cheque Signing Authority (formerly Authority for Signing Cheques and Promissory Notes):

Policy was revised to reflect changes in organizational structure and minor formatting changes. As well, consequential changes were made to the policy arising from amendments to the Act. The new title of policy 21.30.20 is now the Cheque Signing Authority policy.

Policy 21.30.40, Non-substantive and Consequential Policy Changes:

Reference section was revised to refer to Workers Compensation Board By-Law No. 1.

Policy 31.05.10, Cost Relief/Cost Transfer - Class E:

Schedule H (Unfair Burden) of the policy was revised to reflect changes in organizational structure. The effective date and application of Schedule C was clarified specific to current policy 44.10.80.40, Secondary Injury, and previous policy 44.10.80.40, Further Separate Injuries Subsequent to a Compensable Injury.

Policy 43.00, Vocational Rehabilitation:

Policy was updated to reflect the amendment and renumbering of section 27 by The Workers Compensation Amendment Act (commonly referred to as Bill 18).

Policy 44.30.60, Notice of Change in Benefits or Services:

Non-substantive policy change was made requiring the primary decision-maker to inform the worker or their surviving dependants, or the authorized representative of the worker or dependant of an Appeal Commission decision that changed entitlement to compensation. As well, the policy was revised to reflect changes in organizational structure.

Policy 44.60.10, Minimum Awards for Permanent Impairments:

The Schedule of Minimum Awards was updated effective April 1, 2022.

Policy 52.20, Funding Industry-Based Safety Programs:

Reference section was revised to reflect the new title of the amended policy 22.20, Program Abuse, which is now the Compliance and Enforcement policy.
