Safety and Health Week is an annual occupational health and safety celebration and, in Manitoba, is led by the Manitoba Safety and Health (previously NAOSH) Week Planning Committee. The event focuses on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace and raising awareness of safety and health issues.
In Winnipeg:
Manitoba employers can develop workplace safety activities to raise awareness of workplace prevention among your employees and the general public. Showing your commitment to workplace safety and health during the celebration week does not need to be complicated or expensive. You can revitalize your workplace’s commitment to safety in a fun way.
During Safety and Health Week, share your activities on social media using the hashtag #SafetyAndHealthWeek. You can find social media images and posters for your workplace here.
This award recognizes an organization that actively engages employees and the public through meaningful safety and health initiatives. The recipient demonstrates a strong commitment to raising awareness and preventing workplace injury and illness, particularly during Safety and Health Week, which runs May 4–9, 2026.
