You will receive a letter indicating that medical reports are no longer required by the WCB. The letter will advise if any additional invoices for the worker should be directed to another insurance provider, such as Manitoba Health.

Cost recovery for denied claims
If the WCB has already paid you for services related to a denied claim, these costs will be recovered from further future payments made to you. Costs that are typically subject to recovery include fees not pre-negotiated with the WCB and those covered by another insurer such as Manitoba Health. Recoveries will not be made do not include for reporting fees as those remain payable.

Modified or changed claims
If a worker’s claim status changes after you have provided services, the WCB may seek to recover some or all payments previously made to you. In such cases, you will also be advised to refer your request for payment to Manitoba Health or another non-WCB insurance provider.
