Day of MourningManitoba designates April 28 of each year as the Day of Mourning. On this day, we remember and honour the workers who lost their lives to work-related injuries and illnesses. It’s also a time to renew our commitment to workplace safety and health.Day of Mourning highlights the importance of workplace safety and the ongoing efforts needed to prevent such tragedies. Canada was the first country to commemorate this day, which is now observed in more than 80 countries worldwide. Learn more about the National Day of Mourning.
