  • A nature centre is a facility or place established for the preservation of wildlife and/or nature by the protection and conservation of habitat.

    Includes wildlife sanctuaries and private forests, trails.

  • Charities that raise money and awareness for wildlife and/or nature but do not operate a nature centre are found under 903-13 – Professional & business office.
  • Coverage for in-the-field testing, tagging, measuring, counting wildlife and/or nature for the purposes of research is mandatory and is found under 704-02 – Inspecting and testing.
  • Coverage for outdoor training programs for hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, or the operation of wayside parks, is mandatory and is found under 710-03 – Day camps and parks.
  • Operation of a conservatory (a greenhouse containing a botanical or natural display).
  • Operation of a zoo.
