Processing, preparing and/or manufacturing of food products for sale to commercial clients such as restaurants, wholesale and retail establishments. Examples of products include: eggs ( grading, candling) noodles edible oil seeds, nuts popcorn coffee potato chips frozen pizza frozen french fries perogies hors d’oeuvres frozen vegetables pickles chocolate, candy spices Packaging done by the manufacturer is considered incidental.	Manufactured food products sold directly to the general public are under 701-06 – Restaurants and food services. Malting is the process of converting reserve insoluble food material in the barley kernel into a soluble state that can be used readily by a brewer and distiller.	Distillers and brewers are found under 302-10 – Manufacturing alcohol and fuel products.
Processing meat (animal halves, quarters, etc.) are cut into smaller portions or specially processed (i.e., smoked, pickled or made into sausage). Normally sold on a wholesale basis.	Wholesaling meat products as received (i.e. no processing involved) is found under 603-05 – Wholesaling food products. Slaughter of farm animals (except poultry) with processing of meat is found under 301-02 – Meat packing. Poultry processing, including slaughtering and wholesale, is found under 301-04 – Poultry processing. Retailing meat products (e.g., the operation of a butcher shop) is found under 601-06 – Independent grocery stores.
Growing/production of mushrooms. Normally conducted indoors where temperature, light and humidity can be controlled.	Growing other vegetables in a greenhouse or outdoors is found under 103-05 – Greenhouses, nurseries and market gardening.
