Legislative review

The Workers Compensation Act (the Act) requires the appointment of a review committee at least once every 10 years to review the Act to ensure it reflects workplace, economic and societal changes.

The Government of Manitoba has appointed The Workers Compensation Act Legislative Review Committee (LRC) to undertake this independent consultation. The committee will complete this work and deliver a report by the end of 2026.

The LRC is seeking input from workers, employers, labour unions, industry and safety associations, key stakeholders and interested Manitobans to gain a thorough understanding of the issues.
