WCB of Manitoba Office in Thompson Moves to New Location

The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba’s northern regional office in Thompson is moving…just down the street. The new office in the city’s New Town Square is now open for business as usual effective Monday, October 22, 2007.

“The WCB of Manitoba is committed to providing exemplary service to its customers in northern Manitoba,” says WCB President and CEO Doug Sexsmith. “The new office’s layout and location will improve accessibility and privacy for injured workers and other visitors, while offering an efficient and secure work environment for our staff.”

The Thompson office was established in 2002, and has become an important presence for the WCB in northern Manitoba. Four full-time staff members provide service to workers, employers and healthcare practitioners from the Thompson area and across the northern part of the province. WCB staff members in Winnipeg provide additional administrative and managerial support.

While the mailing address has changed, all contact information, including phone, fax and e-mail, remains the same at the new location. The former office in City Centre Mall is now closed.
