POLICY
| Referral of a claimant to out-of-province healthcare consultants and/or clinics may be authorized by the Workers Compensation Board, upon request from a referring practitioner. |

| ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDELINES |
- Generally, the WCB will not authorize referrals to out-of-province healthcare service providers when the same exam/treatment/procedure is available in Manitoba.
- All referrals to an out-of-province consultant/clinic by a worker's attending practitioner must be pre-approved by WCB Healthcare Management Services before the worker is referred.
